Jose Ramirez Speaks Out After Altercation With Tim Anderson, Guardians-White Sox
The Cleveland Guardians lost to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night, but that wasn't the conversation after the game. Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson got into it in the sixth inning after Ramirez slid into second base with a hustle double.
Both players got into each other's faces and showed the intention of wanting to fight, which ended in punches being thrown before they were separated.
The only thing fans had on their mind was, "What could have led to such a historic showdown?" Ramirez opened up about what happened between the two players. This is what he had to say:
Ramirez is not known to be one to seek out altercations with those on the field. He's a fairly cool-headed player which made this moment even that more out of pocket. It was also interesting to hear him say how last night's controversy carried over.
This story is far from finished and it's likely we see suspensions handed to players on both sides.
