How To Watch, Listen, Stream New York Mets vs. Kansas City Royals Series

The New York Mets are back at Citi Field to start a homestand with the Kansas City Royals visiting for a three-game set starting on Friday.

The New York Mets return home to start a three-game series against the red-hot Kansas City Royals on Friday at Citi Field.

The Mets (5-7) carry some great momentum into the game after destroying the Atlanta Braves, 16-4, in the finale of their series on Thursday. It came after an extra off day after Wednesday’s game was rained out. It has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Sept. 26.

The Royals (9-4) enter the series with the third-best record in the American League and coming off a series sweep in which they obliterated the Houston Astros.

While Pete Alonso leads the team with three home runs, it’s Brandon Nimmo who leads with 10 RBI. Brett Baty continues to have the best batting average on the team among qualifying hitters at .311.

With Kodai Senga moved to the 60-day injured list, the Mets will have to continue to be flexible with their starting rotation. Sean Manaea, who will pitch this series, is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA. Edwin Diaz has had just two save chances so far, but he’s converted them both.

Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, how to watch, listen and more.
