The New York Mets have made multiple moves to bolster their depth.

On Tuesday, the Mets signed veteran infielder Yolmer Sanchez and catcher Austin Allen to minor league deals with an invitation to big-league spring training, as the team announced this afternoon.

Sanchez played a brief stint with the Mets back in 2022, where he appeared in three games. He did not receive an at-bat during his short time with New York.

Throughout his eight-year career, Sanchez has played for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. He spent seven seasons with the White Sox, slashing .245/.300/.360 with a .660 OPS in Chicago.

As for Allen, he has just 57 career games in the major leagues under his belt, playing for the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics. In 118 at-bats, Allen has slashed .195/.252/.288 with a .540 OPS.

While these acquisitions aren't the flashiest, they will help the Mets further solidify their depth at the upper levels of the minor leagues.
