The New York Mets have another All-Star.

Starting pitcher Kodai Senga has been named as a replacement on the National League All-Star team's roster.

Senga will replace former Met Marcus Stroman on the roster.

The Mets signed Senga to a five-year, $75 million deal out of Japan in the offseason.

In his rookie season, Senga has gone 7-5 with a 3.31 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 113 strikeouts in 89.2 innings.

As of his final start of the first half, Senga ranks 1st with an opposing average of .204. He also ranks second in hits per nine innings, third in strikeouts per nine, eighth in strikeouts and 10th in ERA.

Senga will join first baseman Pete Alonso as the Mets' representatives in Seattle for the All-Star Game.

The Mets have won six games in a row and are now four games under .500. With two games left in the first half of the season, the Mets are 6.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot in the NL.
