The biggest key for the San Diego Padres moving forward will definitely have to be consistency as they have been able to finally bring some runners in and make the most of their at-bat's. Their mix of superstars continue to find success at the plate and they almost swept the Colorado Rockies and Cleveland Guardians in back to back series.

Fernando Tatis Jr. put on a show for the entire Petco Park audience on Wednesday as he did a little bit of everything and compiled a historic performance that placed him in franchise and MLB history. His confidence has never deflated in 2023, even when he came across some toxic fanbases at opposing stadiums, and Nando continues to step up whenever his squad needs him most.

He has not been in an easy situation by any means but he has responded to all of his doubters with 48 games of him batting .280 with a .902 OPS and 14 home runs. Tatis was a superstar before the injuries and suspension and not much has changed ever since he returned.

San Diego has finally been able to string together a number of solid outings and improve their RISP, one of their biggest struggles.

Tatis has played a huge role in fixing this and he wants the clubhouse to continue these positive strides!

"That's huge, that's what we're capable of," said Tatis. "That's what this offense should be doing on a daily basis and I trust these guys over here."

The way that the Friars are playing right now is how we all envisioned them to do so when the front office compiled this group of talent. This next series against the Tampa Bay Rays will be very interesting.
