Padres at Diamondbacks: Lineups, How to Watch, Predictions, and More

Can the Padres make it four straight?

The San Diego Padres are set to face the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday. The Padres will be switching up the lineup they've used over their last two Cactus League games.

Several Padres regulars — Ha-Seong Kim, Fernando Tatis Jr., Xander Bogaerts, Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth — will get a day off. In favor of them, the Padres will see Jakob Marsee, José Azocar, Luis Campusano and Tim Locastro.

Of the bunch, Locastro has been the hottest. In six at-bats, Locastro has recorded five hits, four RBIs, three runs, and stolen a base while posting an .833 batting average.

Pedro Avila will make his third start of Spring Training for the Padres. He's pitched four innings, allowed eight hits, four earned runs, gave up three walks and struck out one.

Most of that damage was incurred in his Cactus League debut Feb. 24 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Avila allowed two hits and one run in three innings against the Oakland A's in his last start on Feb. 29.

On the Diamondbacks side, Ryan Nelson will get the start. Through five innings pitched, Nelson has posted 10 strikeouts and a 1.80 ERA.
