Fans of the San Diego Padres finally got to see Fernando Tatis Jr. hit the field again in Spring Training and were ecstatic to see their golden child playing again. He's been through a tough time these past two years, specifically noting that his suspension took a mental toll on him, but he will finally be back on the big roster in late April.

However, there is a rule that allows suspended players to take a 15-day minor league assignment to prepare to return to their main squad and Tatis is going to take full advantage. For the first time in his career, the young star will participate in AAA games and play with the El Paso Chihuahuas in their four-game series in Sacramento.

Dennis Lin confirmed that Tatis will debut for El Paso on Tuesday in their first game of the series at 7:45 pm MDT.

It's going to be very exciting to see El Niño showcasing his talent once again. I don't think he'll be as rusty as he was upon first entering the Cactus League due to him now having some games under his belt and also since he's been in Arizona on a more intense workout regimen.

In 16 Spring Training games with San Diego, he slashed .273/.340/.432 along with 12 hits and two home runs.
