The San Diego Padres have some positive developments surrounding some of their most important pieces and their health.

Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune provided the latest updates on Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Joe Musgrove.

Left calf tightness has kept Juan Soto from initially joining the Dominican Republic for the World Baseball Classic. He has stayed back with the Padres to receive treatment at Spring Training and has shown signs of being good to go soon.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is still in the midst of returning from multiple surgeries and has appeared in live matches for the first time in 17 months. He is still getting comfortable and will be suiting up the next two games.

Joe Musgrove continues to rehab following a dropped kettle ball onto his left foot, but has upgraded to wearing an actual shoe rather than a protective sandal.

Soto and Tatis Jr. will definitely be good to go before Opening Day, assuming they don't suffer another injury. Musgrove, however, won't be in the rotation come Opening Day, and Bob Melvin is weighing his options to replace him for the time being. But it is good to see that he's already improving, and hopefully, all of these guys' health continues to trend in the upwards direction!
