So Far, So Good For Texas Rangers Legend's Hall of Fame Candidacy

Former Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltré is doing well in his first year on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.

Adrián Beltré is perfect after 25 votes as he is considered for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024.

The former Texas Rangers third baseman has been on each ballot cataloged so far by the Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot tracker, which was updated on Tuesday.

Twenty-three writers have made their votes public since ballots were sent out to members of the Baseball Writers Association of America last month. Those ballots are cataloged by members of the BBWAA for transparency.

Two voters filed their ballots but chose, for now, to remain anonymous.

Texas Rangers Hall of Famer Adrian Beltre is on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot for the first time.

In his first year of eligibility, Beltré is the only player to receive a vote on each ballot cataloged.

Players need 75% of the vote to be inducted. The tracker estimates there will be 384 ballots cast, which would require an estimated 288 votes for induction. Votes must be completed by Dec. 31. The inductees are announced on Jan. 23.

The 2024 induction ceremony is set for July 21.

Beltré was a.286 career batter, with 3,166 hits and 477 home runs. He drove in 1,707 runs during a career that included stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, and Boston Red Sox. His final eight seasons were played in Arlington.

He was a four-time All-Star selection, won five Gold Gloves — three of which were with the Rangers — and four Silver Slugger Awards, two of which were with the Rangers.

He led the National League with a career-high 48 home runs in 2004.

After 25 votes, three others have at least 75% of the votes — Todd Helton (88%), Joe Mauer (84%) and Gary Sheffield (76%).

Two other former Rangers are on the ballot — Andruw Jones and Álex Rodríguez.

Jones has received 68%, while Rodríguez has received 44%.
