The Reds lost to the Diamondbacks 12-8 on Friday night. Here's the good, bad and ugly from the loss:

The Good

Some of the Reds young prospects played well, including Blake Dunn who finished 3-for-3 on the night with an RBI and run. Edwin Arroyo who hit a RBI single in his at-bat and also had a walk. Sal Stewart went 1-for-2 with a run. Rece Hinds went 1-for-3, and Michael Trautwein who went 1-2 with a 2 RBI double and a run to show for it.

The Bad

The Reds trailed 9-2 late in the game. This would usually be listed under "ugly," but the youngsters made a late-game push.

The Ugly

The pitching: It’s a bad day when it’s hard to point out a single pitcher that performed well on the day. Brandon Williamson was the pitcher credited with the loss. He allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three over three innings.
