Cincinnati Reds Top Performers in 12-8 Loss to Arizona Diamondbacks
The Cincinnati Reds lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 12-8 on Friday night. Here are the guys that stood out the most in the loss:
Blake Dunn
If you are a prospect fan, then this name might ring a bell. Blake Dunn spent the majority of his time in Double-A Chattanooga last season. He went 3-for-3 on Friday, scoring a run and finishing with one RBI.
Edwin Arroyo
Are you shocked!? Arroyo has arguably been the best player so far for the Reds this spring. He finished 1-for-1 on the day with a RBI. He's 5-for-8 this spring.
Jake Fraley
Fraley went 2-for-3 and scored a run. It was arguably his best showing of the spring so far.
Luke Maile
Maile has had an impressive spring. He finished 2-for-2 on the day, finishing with one RBI and scoring one run. Maile could find himself getting some valuable reps throughout the rest of spring as we are still very early on in this time frame.
Michael Trautwein
Trautwein went 1-for-2 with two RBI. He also scored a run.
Pitching as a whole wasn’t very impressive. Brandon Williamson got the start and didn’t perform as many fans would hope. The Reds will hope to have a better performance on the mound for their pitchers in Saturday’s game against the Rockies.
Noelvi Marte is scheduled to make his spring debut. For more on the Rookie of the Year contender, go here.
