Cincinnati Reds Make Erik Gonzalez Signing Official

The Reds agreed to the deal earlier this month.

The Reds officially signed utility infielder Erik Gonzalez. The 32-year-old agreed to a minor-league contract with an invite to Major League Camp.

He spent last year at Triple-A Charlotte as a member of the Chicago White Sox organization.

Gonzalez made his big league debut with the Guardians in 2016. He's appeared in 352 career games, posting a .242 batting average and .615 on-base plus slugging percentage.
