The New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers have a trade in place. The Brewers will acquire outfielder Jake Bauers. In return, the Yankees will receive a pair of prospects in Jace Avina and Brian Sánchez.

For the Yankees last season, Bauers didn't do much to warrant keeping him around. He ended with a .202 batting average and hit 12 home runsin 242 at-bats. Bauers wasn't somebody that was expected to play a ton for New York last season, but due to injuries, he had to play in a bigger role.

Jace Avina spent the 2023 MILB season in A ball, posting a .233 average with 14 home runs. He stole 22 bags and finished with an OPS of .815.

Brian Sanchez spent time in the DSL as the 19-year-old got 101 at-bats this past season. Sanchez hit .297 with no home runs.

New York will look to keep making moves as the offseason continues.
