Everyone is in the Christmas spirit, including two of the New York Yankees franchise legends.

The New York Yankees got some bad news prior to the holiday season when they missed out on landing Japanese phenom Yoshinobu Yamamoto. They desperately wanted to land the starter, but lost out to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The front office will have to turn their attention elsewhere to make another high-profile splash after they acquired Juan Soto in a trade earlier in the offseason.

But, despite the disappointment that the Yankees were dealt, that didn't put a damper on two of the franchise legends' holidays this year.

Derek Jeter posted some pictures on his social media accounts with him hanging out with Jorge Posada on Dec. 24.

Jeter is wearing an ugly set of clothes while sporting antlers. Posada has on a sweater that says "What the Elf?" paired with some green and white striped pants and the same antlers Jeter has on.

The pair won four World Series titles together in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2009.

Prior to playing together for 16 years in New York, Jeter and Posada were teammates in the franchise's minor league pipeline. Posada infamously wasn't sold on the hype surrounding his teammate but recognized his talent fairly quickly.

Both legends made their Major League debuts in the 1995 season and became integral parts of the Yankees' dynasty throughout the late 90s and early 2000s and each had their jerseys retired by the organization.

It's great to see both players still in touch and remaining friends, getting together on Christmas Eve as documented by Jeter's social media posts.
