Patrick Beverley Tries to Engage Nick Nurse After Win vs Sixers

Former Sixer tossed ball to Nick Nurse following Bucks' win.

After their two-game mini-series with the New York Knicks, the Philadelphia 76er wrapped up their road trip by facing another Eastern Conference rival. On Thuesday night, they traveled to Milwaukee to take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.

This game featured multiple familiar faces. Most notably, Patrick Beverley. This game marked the second time he's faced the Sixers since being dealt at the trade deadline.

Despite a strong performance from Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers were unable to upset the Bucks on their home floor. They ended up losing the matchup by a final score of 114-105.

Throughout his career, Beverley has been known to be an instigator, and Thursday night was no different. As time was running out in the game, he found himself with the ball in his hands. After the clock hit zero, he decided to have some fun with his former team. Beverley is seen attempting to toss the game ball at Nick Nurse as both teams were heading to the locker room. However, Mo Bamba quickly came over and swatted it away.

This gesture was clearly Beverley's attempt at having the last laugh with his former team. It might also indicate he still has some hard feelings about being traded during his first season with the team.

Due to injuries, Beverley found himself in Doc Rivers' starting lineup against the Sixers. He finished the game with six points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

Now with the Bucks, Beverley is on a team looking to contend this season. As for the Sixers, they continue to try and stay in the playoff picture while Joel Embiid recovers from a knee injury.
