The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the most active teams signing players and making trades since free agency began on Friday. Their rotation will look much different than it did last year due to all of these moves.

This is what the starting five could look like at the start of next season:

  • PG - Darius Garland
  • SG - Donovan Mitchell
  • SF - Max Strus
  • PF - Evan Mobley
  • C - Jarrett Allen

The majority of the lineup could stay the same. The All-Star backcourt of DG and Mitchell isn't going to change and the frontcourt of Mobley and Allen is another duo that will most likely go unchanged at the start of the season.

Obviously, the big change here is Max Strus who will be the new starting small forward. The Cavaliers struggled all season to find someone who could be their go-to wing and Strus fills that need.

Cleveland will now have a bench of Caris LeVert, Georges Niang, Ricky Rubio, Isaac Okoro, Damian Jones, and Ty Jerome. That's actually a pretty deep list of reserves who can contribute on the floor. It would be wise if they still brought in one more player who could give minutes in the frontcourt.

Comparing the roster from last season to what it is right now, Cleveland definitely got better. However, will it be enough to be true contenders in the Eastern Conference?
