Jarrett Allen Leaves Cavs-Heat Game With Apparent Eye Injury

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen suffered an eye injury against the Miami Heat.

The last thing that the Cleveland Cavaliers need at this point of the season is another injury as they make their final playoff push. Unfortunately, that's the scene that unfolded on Friday night against the Miami Heat.

In the final five minutes of the fourth quarter, Jarrett Allen was going up to grab a rebound when he was inadvertently poked in the eye by Bam Adebayo. Allen immediately fell to the ground in pain and stayed there for a few minutes.

He then left the floor and went to the back of the locker room with a towel over his eye while being assisted by the head trainer.

Allen was playing a significant role for the Cavs throughout the night providing solid defense. He had just six points but had 13 rebounds when he left the game in the fourth quarter. Allen versus Bam was such an enjoyable battle to watch!

Hearing that a member of the Cavaliers sustained an eye injury brings back some unpleasant memories from earlier in the season. Darius Garland missed five at the very beginning of the year after being poked in the eye during the season opener in Toronto.

Hopefully, Allen's injury isn't as significant as Garland's was but the big man was clearly in some pain.
