76ers Coach Reacts to Controversial Finish vs Clippers

Nick Nurse had some words to say.

The LA Clippers escaped Philadelphia with a much-needed win, but it didn't come without some controversy. In the final seconds of the game, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard contested Kelly Oubre's potential game-winning shot, but it turns out, the referees admitted the contest was a foul.

After the game, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse was furious on the court, protesting to referees; the Philadelphia crowd was equally as mad. During the postgame press conference, Nurse expressed his frustrations, believing that Oubre was fouled just as much as Kawhi Leonard was fouled on the other side of the court.

"I think he took it in there pretty hard," Nurse said. "I looked at it on our computer a couple of times. There was certainly contact, and certainly as much as the last two or three that got called and1's at the other end. I just thought there was enough contact to call."

As angry as 76ers fans are about the finish to the game, the entire matchup between the Clippers and 76ers wasn't officiated well. In the earlier moments, Tyrese Maxey was clearly out of bounds during an offensive rebound and referees didn't look at it at all. There were numerous moments of no calls, or quick triggered calls and the game wasn't officiated consistently. It's just unfortunate for the 76ers that the last moment of inconsistency was against them.

For the Clippers, yesterday's win gives them some much needed breathing room from the New Orleans Pelicans for the 4th seed. For now, LA has a one-game lead.
