Kawhi Leonard Makes History vs Philadelphia 76ers

Kawhi Leonard was a machine against the 76ers.

On Wednesday night, Kawhi Leonard was a hero for the LA Clippers. Unfortunately, for the city of Philadelphia, it came at their expense yet again.

Kawhi Leonard struggled for the majority of the game, even shooting 1/11 at one point. However, as the game progressed, he found a new way to impact it. Leonard couldn't make a jumper, but that's when he started increasing he defensive intensity and also drove to the rim. Leonard only had 17 points on 7/19 shooting, but he made all of the clutch plays that won the Clippers the game.

Down the stretch, Kawhi Leonard had the game-saving block and scored back-to-back three-point plays. He was actually the first player in the last 20 years to convert three-point plays and block a shot in the final minute of a game.

Moments like these are when people critics can remember what prime Kawhi Leonard was like. He was easily the best two-way player in the NBA, capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Leonard doesn't have those moments as often during the regular season, but it's very clear that he has another gear when the playoffs hit. Unfortunately, Kawhi Leonard hasn't been too available during the NBA Playoffs, but hopefully, this will be the year that changes.

The LA Clippers face the Orlando Magic next on Friday.
