LA Clippers Player Gets Honest About Rivalry With Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic and Terance Mann have had some battles

LA Clippers guard Terance Mann has gotten into it with Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic on several different occasions. It began in the preseason of Mann's rookie year, and has continued on a regular basis whenever the Clippers and Mavericks face off.

Set to face Doncic and the Mavericks in the opening round of this year's playoffs, Mann was asked if it suprises him that Doncic talks so much trash, and said, "I'm not surprised, just because that's how it started with us from day one. So that's just what it is. It's friendly competitiveness. It's fun."

This is similar to what Mann said back in 2022 when asked about his battles with Doncic, telling reporters then, "It's between the lines, man. He's a competitor, he's a great player. We got the same agent, so it's nothing. It's between the lines. We go out there and we're competitive, we both want to win. It gets chippy at times, but that's just the love to try to win the game."

Both high-level competitors, Mann and Doncic tend to get into it with one another, but it stays between the lines. Mann will likely be tasked with guarding Doncic at times in this series, and will also have to take advantage offensively when the Mavericks try to place their MVP candidate on him.
