NBA Legend Sends Strong Message to James Harden

Shaq had some words of wisdom for James Harden

Since the All-Star break, James Harden has been struggling on the court. His numbers have dropped, his shooting has dropped, and his involvement has lessened in the Clippers offense. So much so, that Shaquille wanted to send him a strong warning.

On Inside the NBA, Shaq sent a strong message to the struggling guard.

"I don't want to hear no guard talking about, 'How can you get me going?' You've got the damn ball," Shaq exclaimed. "Centers can ask that question... When you're a guard, I don't want to hear that. James Harden knows what he got to do to get himself going. This ain't high school or AAU where you gotta call plays. He has the ball most of the time. So, when he wants to take a shot, he can take a shot."

Shaq followed up his statement by giving some advice to Harden. The biggest thing for Harden is to try and get himself going, which is what he did against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night. Even though James Harden shot 26% from the field, he still attempted 23 shots - which is what he needed to do without Kawhi Leonard.

"James Harden gotta get himself going. James Harden wanna win a championship, he gotta be a vital part of that offense. He has to be consistent. Him — no disrespect — and PG sometimes they disappear in the playoffs."

For the first time since the 2019-2020 NBA season, the LA Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets twice in the same season. Hopefully, that's a sign of good fortune to come in the playoffs.
