Kawhi Leonard's Status for Clippers vs Trail Blazers

Kawhi Leonard's official status has been revealed.

Just last week, Kawhi Leonard unexpectedly missed a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to back spasms. He proceeded to be questionable after that, but it looks like those days are over now.

The LA Clippers have officially listed Kawhi Leonard as available against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. He'll be available alongside both Paul George and James Harden as well.

Against the Trail Blazers this season, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 28.5 points, 5.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals on 56/62/100 shooting. He's been absolutely sensational against them, and the Clippers will need that tonight. Additionally, Paul George has averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals on 53/40/100 shooting against the Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers have a bad defense, but so do the Atlanta Hawks, and that didn't stop the Clippers from shooting poorly - LA can't make that same mistake tonight.

Even though the Trail Blazers will be shorthanded against the Clippers tonight, LA can not take them lightly or sleep on them. The Clippers are no longer in a position to take it easy on teams after their utter embarrassment against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night. LA is now only half a game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans for the 4th seed and a loss tonight against the Trail Blazers would put the Clippers in 5th seed, losing home court in the playoffs.

The LA Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers face off at 7:00 p.m. EST tonight.
