NBA Legend Reacts to James Harden Slamming Daryl Morey
James Harden wants to leave the Philadelphia 76ers and join the LA Clippers, at all costs. His most recent outburst toward Daryl Morey made waves because of how transparently candid it was. Despite how unelegant it was, other NBA players believe it was a very calculated move.
Andre Iguodala was a guest on Gils Arena where he reacted to James Harden slamming Daryl Morey in China.
"When you go into a contract negotiation, know what your value and how you can leverage yourself," Iguodala said. "Know what opportunities you have on the other side, your safety net. What is James' safety net? Daryl Morey has a history with China where he can say something and the backlash from what he says, there may not be any because there's a history there with Morey and China. So, it was a great move out of leverage by James. One, because it's going to be hard to discipline James because what did he do wrong?"
Iguodala doubled down on his support of James Harden, claiming that NBA front offices should receive more criticism for their actions. There has to be a reason for James Harden calling Daryl Morey a liar, and more should be discussed about that.
"The headline from Woj was 'disgruntled player James Harden', why is he disgruntled," Iguodala questioned. "Why isn't the front office ever disgruntled? They always put players in a certain light."
The James Harden saga to leave Philadelphia is only going to get uglier and uglier as we get closer to training camp. This outburst against Daryl Morey was only the beginning.
