Paul George Makes History in Celtics vs Clippers

Paul George moved up an all-time list.

The LA Clippers were absolutely dismantled by the Boston Celtics on Saturday afternoon, but one of the only players to perform well for LA was Paul George. So much so, that he actually made a bit of history during the game.

Paul George put up 21 points on 53% shooting from the field in 29 minutes. George moved up on the all-time scoring list to 101st, surpassing Bob Cousy. He now has 16,976 points and is 161 points away from passing Grant Hill to enter the top 100 all-time.

It was clear that Paul George was on a heater against the Celtics, but it just didn't matter because the Clippers couldn't grab a rebound or play any defense. It was apparent that the Celtics entered LA with the game plan of shooting as many threes as possible, and the Clippers made that as easy as possible by allowing 15 offensive rebounds.

Despite the struggles of the last two games, the Clippers are still a team that 9 straight games when Kawhi Leonard was playing. He's missed the last two games due to a left hip contusion that occurred when Grant Williams hip-checked him on Wednesday. It's been a quick turnaround for LA having two games in three days since then. Since they don't play until the day after Christmas, hopefully, they'll have enough time for Kawhi to return.
