LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard left Tuesday night's game vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves with what the team called thoracic spasms. Leonard left the arena before halftime, as the team determined that was best for him after he experienced discomfort sitting down.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Clippers head coach Ty Lue revealed that Leonard has been dealing with back spasms for a couple days, and attempted to play through the issue.

"He's been dealing with it for a couple days," Lue said. "Back spasms. Wasn't sure if he was gonna go this morning, but he came to shoot around, got some treatment, did what he had to do to try to get on the court and play today, and it just didn't loosen up for him."

Lue said he wasn't sure if Leonard would be able to make the team's upcoming two-game road trip, but it has since been confirmed that the star forward did indeed travel with the team.

The Clippers are entering a pivotal back-to-back, where they play the Chicago Bulls on Thursday and the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday. New Orleans is just two losses behind LA in the standings, and has a real chance to pass them if they win on Friday. Leonard's injury status will be something to monitor for the next two games.
