Paul George Makes History During Clippers vs 76ers

Paul George has moved up on the all-time list.

The LA Clippers faced off against the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers today in a game that saw the Clippers get embarrassed yet again on their home court. While LA still seems incapable of beating winning teams since the All-Star, Paul George at least made some positive history in the process.

Paul George has officially moved up on the NBA's all-time list for three-pointers made today. George has passed Jamal Crawford for sole possession of the 11th place spot, with 2,222 career threes. Next up on the list for 10th place Jason Terry with 2,282 career threes. After that, is Vince Carter with 2,290 career threes. It's very realistic for Paul George to end up at the top of the NBA's all-time three-point shooters.

The more important thing for the Clippers is the fact the team can't pass the smell test anymore. Since the All-Star break, the team is now 1-8 against winning teams. They've routinely gotten embarrassed at home to shorthanded teams and just claimed to have found their swag back against the Portland Trail Blazers on the road. Instead, they had an utter collapse in the fourth quarter against a Philadelphia 76ers team without Joel Embiid.

After the crucial loss, the LA Clippers are now only half a game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans for the 5th seed. They're also only three games ahead of the Sacramento Kings from being a play-in team. Simply put, the Clippers no longer look like the contending team they once were a little over a month ago. They don't have much time to fix it, either.
