High School Superstar Cooper Flagg Reclassifies to 2024 Class

What are the NBA Draft implications for Cooper Flagg reclassifying?

Thought of by many to be the top basketball prospect in the world right now, Monteverde’s Cooper Flagg is set to reclassify to the 2024 high school class, meaning he’ll now be eligible for the 2025 NBA Draft.

At 6-foot-8 with a premier all-around game, Flagg has already taken the basketball world by storm with his gaudy preps numbers. The reclassification was a no-brainer for him, as he'll now get an earlier start on his next tier of basketball, and eventually the professional level.

While he initially emerged as an elite defensive talent, Flagg has more recently become a major offensive prospect as well. Defensively, he’s a great shot blocker that that possesses strength and speed to guard nearly any position. He covers a ton of space and moves very well. Given his size, Flagg is also a fantastic rebounder as well.

Flagg had a breakout EYBL campaign, which was headlined by an average of 25.4 points, 13.0 rebounds, 6.9 blocks and 5.7 assists per game at Peach Jam.

Regardless of class, Flagg is likely slated to remain the top prospect in the world following the drafting of Victor Wembanyama first overall in 2023.

Flagg will likely have his pick of colleges, which currently include Duke, Kansas, Providence, UCLA, UConn, Villanova, Kansas State and plenty more.
