Looking Ahead: NCAA Matchup of Week Features Elite Scoring Prospects

Conference play is underway, with the Big 12 being one of the most exciting. In nearly every single matchup across that conference, there's at least one player that has a good chance of making it to the next level.

This means that almost every day. there’s a ton of exciting college matchups that feature upcoming NBA talent. As such, NBA fans are able to get a look at players that will be making an impact at the next level one day firsthand.

As it relates to future draft prospects, which college matchup are we most excited about entering the week?

Featured Prospects: Gradey Dick, Jalen Wilson, KJ Adams, MJ Rice, Mike Miles

This contest features two ranked teams that are legit threats to win the Big 12 Conference. As TCU comes into Lawrence, there will be plenty of scoring and high level talent.

The Horned Frogs are led by Mike Miles, who is one of the best offensive players in the country. The junior is averaging 19.0 points and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 52% from the floor.

In this game, he’ll absolutely have the chance to put on a show.

Across the court from Miles will be a handful of prospects that will get NBA buzz. This starts with Gradey Dick, who is expected to be a one-and-done player and potentially a lottery selection. He’s also an elite scorer, doing most of his damage from downtown. The 6-foot-8 wing has converted on 48% of his 5.8 attempts from deep this season, which has resulted in a 3PE of 92 according to Cerebro Sports.

Outside of Dick, the Jayhawks of course have much more NBA talent.

MJ Rice is still working his way into the rotation, but has the upside to be a first-round pick down the road. KJ Adams has continued to show his improvement this season, using his strength and athleticism to make an impact. Finally, Jalen Wilson is one of the best players in the country, and will get draft consideration despite being an upperclassmen.

With upwards of five future NBA talents taking the floor today, this matchup will be one of the best of the week.
