The 2023 NBA Draft class was one of the best in over a decade. And that’s already been shown through the play of top selection Victor Wembanyama, Ausar Thompson, Brandon Miller and more.

Here are some of the top matchups to watch for in tonight’s NBA slate:

Chet Holmgren Versus Kevin Durant

At 7 p.m., Thunder past takes on Thunder present with Kevin Durant versus rookie Chet Holmgren.

At 7-foot with a fluid offensive game, Holmgren hasn’t been shy about his respect for Durant's game. Durant has had equal praise, and the two were seen training together in the offseason.

Today, they’ll face each other for the first time officially. Holmgren will likely see more time on Jusuf Nurkic. But the way Oklahoma City plays defense means Holmgren will surely see some time on Durant.

Victor Wembanyama Versus Bam Adebayo

Thus far, top pick Victor Wembanyama has been able to get whatever he wants on-court, averaging 19.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 2.6 blocks per game while shooing 46% overall and 31% from beyond the arc.

But on Sunday, he’ll likely match up with Miami’s Bam Adebayo for most of the game, who’s already in contention for the 2023-24 Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Adebayo will likely be Wembanyama’s toughest matchup yet. But so far in his young career, few have limited him. Miami and San Antonio tip off at. 6 p.m. CT.\

Honorable mentions:

Ausar Thompson Versus Bulls — 6 p.m. CT

Dereck Lively Versus Jordan Hawkins — 6 p.m. CT
