No NBA player has had a more tumultuous year than Ja Morant. From multiple suspensions to re-evaluating friends, to a season-ending injury, Morant has been through the wringer this season. Now, Morant has made another new life decision.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Ja Morant has parted ways with his longtime agent Jim Tanner. Tanner has represented Morant since the 2019 NBA Draft, where Morant was drafted number 2 overall by the Memphis Grizzlies.
It's been a year of trials and tribulations for Ja Morant. He's had to make serious decisions about his friends, who he hangs around with, and now his agent. How this decision will affect Morant in the future remains to be seen. There are a plethora of options for Morant to sign with, including Klutch Sports. However, it's worth noting that Morant has still had some great deals with Nike and extremely popular shoes.
Next year will have to be a major year for Ja Morant. One where he shows that he's learned from all of his mistakes, and that he's ready to take up the mantle of most popular American player in the NBA. The future is there for the taking for Ja Morant. It's all just a matter of whether or not he's ready to step up and take it. Hopefully, he and the Grizzlies can remain healthy next season.
