Ja Morant Shares Teammate's Strong Message After Frustrating Grizzlies Season

The Memphis Grizzlies hope to bounce back

Getting off to a terrible start in the 25-game suspension absence of Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies knew it would be an uphill battle this season once he returned. That said, Morant’s return from suspension sparked a level of excitement and optimism around the Grizzlies that they could make a playoff push.

This excitement lasted just nine games, as Morant was sidelined for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. This was one of several injuries the Grizzlies dealt with this season, as they set an NBA record for the most players used in one season. While there were some bright spots for Memphis this year, most notably the emergence of some of their young talent, they certainly hope next year goes much differently.

Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. shared a message on his Instagram story on Wednesday that suggested this tough season will be worth it in the end for his team. Morant co-signed this message, sharing it on his Instagram story as well.

With the Western Conference continuing to get better, as some of the West’s young teams are starting to emerge at serious contenders, the Grizzlies will have their work cut out for them next season. That said, this is a group that has a very talented core, and discovered some potentially key role players this season.

With Morant back from injury next season, Memphis believes they will be right back in the playoff mix.
