Lakers Player Makes Unexpected Statement After Beating Grizzlies

Memphis fans may not be happy about this one.

For one reason or another, Rui Hachimura seems to always have great games against the Memphis Grizzlies . It turns out, Hachimura isn't the biggest fan of the city of Memphis.

After the Lakers defeated the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, Hachimura was asked about his explosive 32-point performance and he gave a very unexpected response.

"I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a really big fan of this city," Hachimura. "I always had a great memory here. I think we had a great run last year in the playoffs and I think we come back here next week or something. One at a time. I think it's four or five in a row now, we gotta get six in a row."

In Hachimura's last three regular season games against the Grizzlies, he's averaged 24 points on 74% shooting. Going even further back, Hachimura averaged 14.5 points and 4.7 rebounds against the Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs; even putting up 29 points on 79% shooting during Game 1 on the road. It's become very clear, if there's one person on the Lakers that is a Grizzlies killer, it's Rui Hachimura.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers face off one final team on April 12, and that'll be the game that either finishes the series 3-1 or ties it 2-2. While the two teams won't be meeting in the playoffs again this season, it should still be a fun one.
