Major Injury Update for Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies could be getting this player back from injury

Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has been sidelined for nearly a year with an achilles tear, but he is on the verge of returning. The Grizzlies have released their injury report for Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, and Clarke is being listed as questionable.

An upgrade to questionable for a player who has been out for an extended period of time usually indicates that they are on the verge of returning. Clarke has been working hard to make a return this season, and while the Grizzlies are well out of the playoff picture, getting Clarke back is a big step towards reestablishing their roster for next season.

Clarke is one of several key Grizzlies players who has missed extended time this season, and is another one of several Grizzlies players who the organization believes will be a key piece to next year’s team. The rest of the season for Memphis will be used to figure out who fits best with the team going forward, and Clarke is certainly one of the pieces the Grizzlies feel will be an impact player for a while.

Hoping to re-enter the playoff picture next season, the Grizzlies know that health is their biggest obstacle, which is why getting players back for the remainder of this season is such a big deal. This game against the Lakers will be an exciting one for Clarke and the Grizzlies, as his return has been long awaited.
