Dillon Brooks Makes Ja Morant-Jalen Green Statement

Former Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks said this about Ja Morant

The Houston Rockets are the hottest team in the Western Conference, having won 8-straight games to pull within a single game of the 10th seed Golden State Warriors. While Houston has been one of the worst teams in basketball the last three seasons, they hoped to be much more competitive this season when they made some expensive free agent signings and hired Ime Udoka.

One of those free agent signings was former Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks, who hoped to bring a level of intensity and focus to this Houston team that may have been lacking the last few seasons. Brooks was a big piece to the Grizzlies becoming a perennial playoff team in the Western Conference, and hopes to do the same in Houston.

The emergence of young guard Jalen Green in recent weeks has been one of the primary driving forces behind Houston's surge, and Brooks recently name dropped his former teammate Ja Morant when talking about Green.

"I always tell him to keep that same routine because that’s what Ja [Morant] did," Brooks said of Green, via The Rockets Wire.

While Green and Morant are different players, they are both very explosive guards. For Brooks, who got to see Morant's rise to superstardom, he wants to see Green give himself the opportunity to do the same thing by keeping his daily routine in check.
