Memphis Grizzlies Make Roster Move Before Facing Warriors

The Grizzlies have added a new player.

The Memphis Grizzlies have easily been the most injury-riddled team in the NBA this season. So much so, that the league has allowed the team to have another hardship roster spot.

The NBA has granted the Memphis Grizzlies another hardship roster spot, which they've used on Brazilian forward Maozinha Pereira with a 10-day contract. Maozinha Pereira averaged 10.8 points and 8.8 rebounds on 61% shooting for the Mexico City Capitanes in the G League.

For Grizzlies fans who want to get more acquainted with Pereira, the NBA Brasil YouTube channel has uploaded some highlights of the young forward.

The explosiveness and hustle that Pereira plays with fit perfectly with the young roster that the Grizzlies are playing right now through their injured time. It remains to be seen whether or not the Grizzlies would use him beyond the 10-day contract, but right now is as good of a time as ever for an audition. There's no team right now better than the Memphis Grizzlies at giving young players a chance to play and prove themselves. Memphis is 11th in defense right now, which speaks volumes about how much the young players on their team have bought into the culture.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors face off at 10:00 p.m. EST tonight, hopefully, Maozinha Pereira will make his debut then.
