How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Monday’s Loss To The Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers ran away in the second half against the Miami Heat Monday night.

Usually, Miami Heat fans criticize their team for blowing late double-digit leads.

But Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, the 12-point first quarter lead was squandered by the end of the half. A one-point deficit at halftime transpired to double digits in the third quarter and eventually led to a 17-point loss. The Heat couldn't keep up with Los Angeles, especially in the absence of Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin.

For a while it seemed like the demands for trades halted and fans were satisfied with the squad they had. But alas, the calls for Donovan Mitchell or other outside help rolled in like clockwork after a lack of star performances against a Western contender.

Tyler Herro, the center of fanbase praise the past two weeks, went 0 for 5 for zero points in the second half.

"Boy Wonder can't score against athletic wings with length," one user said. "Turns into Duncan basically, no bueno. They both need screen assists to get open smh. We need a real gunner mannn...Mitchell gotta be the move."

Clippers star Kawhi Leonard returned to the lineup after a four-game absence, putting up 24 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. His seven-point fourth quarter officially put him above 13,000 career points. Meanwhile, guard Norman Powell had 22 points off the bench.

The Heat stay in Los Angeles to play the Lakers (17-17) Wednesday night.
