Miami Heat Advance To Eastern Conference Finals For Second Straight Year After Eliminating Knicks

The Miami Heat knocked out the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals

A month ago, the Miami Heat fan base was asking them to tank so they could get a higher draft pick.

Now, the Heat are once again back competing for an NBA title. The Heat eliminated the New York Knicks Friday with a 96-92 victory in the Eastern Conference semifinals to advance to the finals. Jimmy Butler led the way with 24 points while Bam Adebayo added 23.

The Heat will play either the Philadelphia 76ers or Boston Celtics in the next round.

Despite being the No. 8 seed, the Heat are back in the conference finals. After upsetting the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, they defeated the higher-seeded Knicks.

Last year the Heat lost to the Celtics in the conference finals in Game 7.
