George Hill Saying He Wants To End With Indiana Pacers Shows Udonis Haslem Has Set Standard For NBA Veterans

George Hill wants to end career with Indiana Pacers just like Udonis Haslem in Miami

It seem like each a month we heard about someone in the NBA giving props to Udonis Haslem during his final season.

From Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks to former All-Star Gilbert Arenas, there were so many things said about the value of Haslem that never showed up in the box score. The ultimate sign of respect may have come earlier this week during the Indiana Pacers exit interviews.

Veteran Pacers guard George Hill could have played elsewhere his final years chasing a ring but he said he wanted to end his career in his home state of Indiana.

Just like Haslem did in Miami.

"To get the opportunity to come back here and try to hopefully pull off like a Udonis role for many years, and the organization where it means so much. It would be an honor," Hill said.

Hill did not play all his years with the Pacers but it's quite the gesture to say he wants to go out like Haslem.
