Social Media Jokes Jeanie Buss-Dwyane Wade Interaction at LeBron James Record-Breaking Game Led To Mike Conley Trade To Lakers

Fans reacted to the video of the two online.

LeBron James made NBA history Tuesday night by becoming the No. 1 scorer in NBA history.

Several videos of James’ shot and celebration were trending online. But there was one video away from the action that garnered attention as well.

Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss was seen giving a pat on the back to Dwyane Wade. Wade was courtside to watch his former Miami Heat teammate surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s former scoring title.

The interaction seemed harmless but fans had some suggestive reactions to it.

Some even suggested the interaction could be based on trade rumors. Wade is the minority owner of the Utah Jazz, and the Lakers are acquiring veteran Jazz guard Mike Conley.

While some speculated on the implications of this moment, most were focused on Wade commemorating his former “Big Three” teammate on accomplishing this historic feat.

“Congratulations, my brother,” Wade said. “I remember having those conversations about what it would be like if this day ever came. At the time it was surreal, because you’re a pass first guy. To get to this place, I understand what it takes. It takes consistency, and you’ve been consistent since the day the world’s heard your name. In the midst of playing the way that you love to play the game, the court has opened up for you, and you became THE greatest scorer of all time. I salute you, King. Congratulations on becoming the all-time No. 1 scorer in this beautiful league.”
