Video Resurfaces Of Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler In Altercation With Denver Nuggets Star Nikola Jokic

The Miami Heat play the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, with Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jokic at center of attention

The Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets don’t have much history, so many are trying to create whatever storylines they can.

Perhaps the most storied memory between the two teams occurred in 2021 when Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic got into a physical altercation with forward Markieff Morris. Morris sustained a season-ending back injury from this moment, prompting Jimmy Butler to get into a heated argument with Jokic.

Had Morris not been injured, the Heat may have made the Finals last season. They lacked offensive production outside of Butler, which could have been aided with Morris in the lineup. He averages 14.5 points in his career, giving Miami a solid scorer in the second unit. It was a significant injury pinpointed to this moment.

Now, the two teams are facing each other in the biggest game of the year. Morris is no longer on the team, but the energy and intensity should remain. The Heat go to Denver Thursday night for Game 1.
