Caleb Martin's 14 Points Helps Offset Slow Starts By Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo As Heat Trail Celtics 57-53 At Halftime

In this story:
Early on, it appeared the Miami Heat were going to get blown out of the building.
Then an unlikely hero came to the rescue.
Forward Caleb Martin, who returned to the starting lineup, had 14 points in the first half to keep the Heat close Saturday against the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. After trailing by double-digits most of the way, the Heat are down just 57-53 at the half.
Martin was able to offset slow starts by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who combined for just 14 points. Gabe Vincent, who was back from a one-game absence because of a sprained ankle, added 11 points.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points.
The Heat need a victory to avoid a trip to Boston for Game 7 Monday.
