Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets vs. Nets

Can the Hornets cover the spread?
In this story:

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Nets -6.5

1 Star play on the Hornets (+6.5): Come on, Schuyler. The Hornets just lost to the worst team in the NBA by double digits and are on the back end of a back-to-back. What the hell are you thinking? To be honest, I really don't know. It's just one of those gut feelings where I believe Charlotte will bounce back and come to play. If they can compliment their defense by making just a few more shots, I like their chances to cover.

Over/Under: 207.5

1 Star play on the over: Believe it or not, this is the second-lowest total for a Nets game this season. However, it is the lowest bar set for a Hornets game and rightfully so. Charlotte can't score the ball to save their life right now, but they are playing incredible defense. The under has cashed in 10 of the last 11 Hornets games, but the over has hit four of Brooklyn's last five, so something's got to give. Dare I say, the Hornets catch fire for once and get up and over 100? Hold your nose going to the window with this one, but we'll put the smallest of leans on the over.

My picks this season

ATS: 19-23 (46%)

O/U: 21-21 (51%)

Overall: 40-44 (48.7%)
