It was a much-needed win for the Sacramento Kings against the Utah Jazz on Sunday night in the Kings’ 43rd victory of the season. In a perfect opportunity against a tanking Jazz team, the Kings bounced back in grand fashion at home after losing two in a row to the Dallas Mavericks.

The win came through thanks to a couple of strong outings from forwards Harrison Barnes and Keegan Murray, who combined for 10 three pointers on the night. Sacramento was taking advantage of a soft defense all night, even though the Jazz rep physical players like guard Collin Sexton.

Sexton, who scored 22 points in the loss, was fined $2,000 dollars for attempting to draw a foul in the second quarter. After throwing one up from three, Sexton was lightly touched by Barnes who was closing out the shot. Sexton proceeded to flop to the ground, losing him some cash.

It’s the second time this season that Sexton has been fined for attempting to draw a foul, with the first charge coming from late November in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Sunday night’s loss marked the eighth time that Sexton has fallen to the Kings in his career, continuing a winless streak for the young guard against Sacramento. The sixth-year man out of Alabama will have to wait until next year to try and take a game away from the Kings for the first time.
