Lakers News: Home Fans Advocated Major Change To Jeanie Buss During Kings Loss

Los Angeles blew a massive lead to Sacramento on Wednesday evening.

The Los Angeles Lakers let a prime chance slip away from them on Wednesday evening, losing to the Sacramento Kings. Los Angeles held a massive 19-point lead over the Kings early on but saw it disappear into thin air rapidly.

With the Kings just above them in the Western Conference standings, losing this game hurt the Lakers' chances to overtake them. It was a game that the team needed to have, but once again, their inconsistency came into play.

During the game at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles fans let owner Jeanie Buss know how they felt about head coach Darvin Ham. Chants of "Fire Ham" were directed toward her, sending a clear message.

Ham has come under fire this season for his coaching decision and lack of adjustments throughout games. The Lakers have been incredibly good on any given night and frustratingly bad on another.

It has caused frustration throughout the organization, with the fans having enough of it. While Ham isn't likely to be let go during the year, failure to go far into the postseason would probably trigger his firing.

Fans aren't happy with the current state of the team, and Buss knows that she needs to do what it takes to field a winning team. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis still playing at a high level, the Lakers are a championship contender.

Letting Ham go won't be an easy decision, but it could be the right one. It all remains to be seen, depending on how the team fares the rest of the way.
