After a (relatively) quiet few weeks of offseason inaction for your Los Angeles Lakers, a powder keg of gossip hit the presses on Monday. 

Rumors from two of the most plugged-in NBA reporters in the country revealed that Dallas Mavericks All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving was hoping to recruit All-NBA Los Angeles small forward LeBron James to form a new, defense-free "Big Three" "super team" in Dallas, alongside Irving's backcourt mate Luka Doncic.
