Anthony Davis Reveals Injury Update Before Lakers vs Nuggets

Anthony Davis didn't look like himself.

The Los Angeles Lakers are officially facing the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. While the Lakers barely slipped by the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, Anthony Davis barely looked like himself in the process.

After the game, Davis admitted that back spasms were affecting him throughout the game. In the game, Davis put up 20 points and 15 rebounds, but he did it on 6/16 shooting. Not only that, but Zion Williamson scored 40 points against the Lakers, primarily through the paint.

"I think the way it affected me the most is just as far as moving, going to get offensive rebounds and things like that," Anthony Davis said. "Just my presence at the rim, it was just tough. But we got it done. We got it done. And I have a couple days now to kind of get it back to normal and get ready for Saturday. I feel like I'll be 100 percent as far as the back come Saturday."

Anthony Davis has about four days to get himself right before facing the ultimate challenge of Nikola Jokic. However difficult Zion Williamson was to stop on Tuesday night, Nikola Jokic is going to be far harder to handle.

The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers face off in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, April 20.
