The Atlanta Hawks aren’t letting Pascal Siakam trade talks get away easy.

No team has been more closely tied to a Siakam deal than Atlanta who have reportedly been trying without much success to persuade the Toronto Raptors into a deal, according to Substack’s Marc Stein.

The Hawks have been dangling John Collins on the trade market for months now without much interest. Teams are reportedly far more interested in De’Andre Hunter and Clint Capela, Stein added.

Siakam, however, is privately conveying he’d prefer to stay in Toronto and is reluctant to sign a long-term deal with anyone who trades for him, as Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes reported prior to the draft.

The Raptors are aware of Siakam’s desires, general manager Bobby Webster said Thursday night, though he wouldn’t comment further on extension or trade talks.

Siakam remains under contract for one more season with Toronto and is eligible to sign an extension this summer. He could also opt to wait for next offseason to ink a long-term deal that would be more lucrative should he earn All-NBA honors.

The Hawks have reportedly made everyone on their team available this summer except Trae Young, according to Yahoo’s Jake Fischer.

Toronto is said to have a high asking price for Siakam and O.G. Anunoby, according to Matt Moore of the Action Network.
