With the Phoenix Suns no longer in the playoff hunt, the process to find a new head coach not completed, and not a first-round pick in the upcoming NBA draft, it is a quiet time to be a Suns fan.

As such, I asked ChatGPT to rank its top 3 favorite Suns Jerseys and its results were quite a blast from the past.

3. Black Alternate (1994-2000, 2020-present): The black alternate jersey has gained popularity over the years. It was particularly favored during the Charles Barkley era and has since made a comeback. The sleek black design with orange accents and the "PHX" lettering gives it a modern and stylish look.

While it is technically talking about two different jerseys the idea remained the same. Both jerseys do resemble what would be considered the Suns “away” jerseys but in black. Between the two it is hard not to favor the classic 90’s look solely on the classic Jonah Hill image that eventually led to the return of the 90’s look.

2. Barkley-era Purple (1992-2000): This jersey is cherished by fans as it reminds them of the successful period when Charles Barkley played for the Suns. It features the classic purple base with orange and white trim, symbolizing the team's competitiveness during that era.

In a shock to the internet ChatGPT did not put the iconic sunburst jerseys at the one spot. The classic swingman jersey was brought back this season after years of wishing by Suns faithful and fashion fans alike. The 90’s night was a big hit with fans as well.

1. Classic Purple and Orange (1968-1992): This jersey is often considered a fan favorite due to its historical significance and iconic design. The purple and orange color scheme represents the Suns' early years, and the "Sunburst" design on the front has become synonymous with the franchise.

In a shocking upset the original Suns jerseys took the gold according to ChatGPT. It is remarkable to think that a computer used to take up an entire room back when these jerseys were first used back in 1968.

The font used back then was unique and I found it to be much more interesting than the simple bold font used today. Also this generation had the best shorts as well.
