Devin Booker Says He Had to Change His Reputation Coming Into NBA

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker talks about having a light skin reputation coming into the NBA & having to change that.

The Phoenix Suns took on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night on the road.  During the game, according to Timberwolves Podcaster Dane Moore, Devin Booker just yelled at the Wolves' bench, "we play team basketball; we share the ball!"

Booker earned a technical during the win for saying something towards the bench.

A Twitter User replied, He’ll [Devin Booker] never learn his lesson about talking s***.

"If you can get humiliated like that and still talk shit like you got Steph Curry rings… I kinda respect it. But he’s wack."

Last season, Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards shared a video of himself reacting to the Suns only scoring 36 points in the third quarter in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks.

”I remember playing Phoenix, and they were talking so much s*** telling us we better make the playoffs. We ain’t going to make the playoffs," said Edwards.

"We are out of the playoffs, but this is a disgrace. Y’all got 36 points in the third quarter? This is terrible!”

After the game, According to Duane Rankin of AZ Central, Booker shared,  "I had a light skinned reputation coming into the league and I had to change that."

Booker would finish the game with 32 points, four rebounds, and ten assists in 38 minutes of play against the Wolves. As the Suns get their eighth win of season, they will continue their road trip as they face the Magic & Heat.
