Suns Waive Frank Jackson, per Report

Hoops Hype's Michael Scotto reports the team will be waiving guard Frank Jackson.

The Phoenix Suns have reportedly waived guard Frank Jackson, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto.

The Suns officially brought Jackson to Phoenix on Sept. 24 to a non-guaranteed deal.

Jackson was taken in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets before being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans

He missed his entire rookie season after having multiple foot surgeries.

After briefly spending time with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2020, Jackson spent the prior two seasons with the Detroit Pistons before signing with Phoenix.

Jackson played a total of 93 games for the Pistons with 13 starts in the two years he spent with Detroit. The 2021-22 season saw Jackson earn career highs in points (10.6) and minutes (22) per game.

After not appearing in the team's opening loss to the Adelaide 36ers, Jackson totaled ten minutes over the last two games, spending five minutes on the court vs. Denver and Los Angeles, respectively.

Phoenix will play their preseason finale at home on Wednesday, Oct. 12 against the Sacramento Kings
